This Week’s Highlights – June 25, 2018

  • Strawberries – Supply and quality both remain steady, size and texture are a bit varied due to cooler than expected weather.
  • Cantaloupe – Quality is good to excellent.
  • Brussels Sprouts – Demand exceeds supply as Mexico wanes and CA cannot meet demand.
  • Iceberg Lettuce – Supplies are short and markets are active.
  • Green Beans – Quality and supplies from GA are improving after heavy rains.
  • Caulilini – The newest member of the brassica family; sweetly succulent in flavor, caulilini adds both flavor and texture to side dishes, crudite platters and entree builds.  Look for it at your local Farmer’s Market!
