This Week’s Highlights – February 28, 2022

  • Brussels Sprouts – Volume continues to be strong; expect to see strong volume and soft market for the next few weeks.
  • Broccoli/Broccoli Florets – Supply is very good this week.
  • Specialty Oranges – Blood oranges and Cara Cara are available in good supply.  Clementines are winding down. Murcotts are available in good supply.
  • Romaine and Romaine Hearts – Production is lighter; watch for blistering and lighter weights.
  • English Cucumbers – Supple is stable this week; FOB prices are down.

This Week’s Highlights – February 8, 2021

  • Grape Tomatoes – Supply improved this week and quality is very nice. Expecting steady supply over the next week.
  • Green Peppers – Normal volume and good quality out of Florida.  Good volume continues in the West, quality is outstanding.
  • Romaine Lettuce – Good supply and very good quality.
  • Grapefruit – Texas is in the peak of it’s season. Taste is very sweet and aromatic.
  • Navel Oranges – Overall quality is excellent.

This Week’s Highlights – February 1, 2021

  • Roma Tomatoes – Florida supply is steady. Quality is outstanding.
  • Berries – Extensive damage to crops due to major rain; availability on all berries will be affected through the next week.
  • Romaine and Romaine Hearts – Production and supply are on budget.  Weights are improving and quality is excellent.
  • Arugula – Supply and quality are good this week.
  • Brussels Sprouts – Supply is expected to be plentiful for the next few weeks. Excellent supply and quality/

This Week’s Highlights – December 7, 2020

  • Asparagus – Good supply and quality available.
  • Cucumbers – Florida continues to ramp up production and Mexico continues to see good numbers and quality.
  • Italian Squash – Supply and quality continues to improve out of South Florida; quality and supply is good in the west.
  • Raspberries – Uptick in volume this week; good quality and flavor overall. Expect volume to gradually decrease each week as we approach year-end.
  • Romaine & Romaine Hearts – supply in the desert is better this week than expected. Demand has tapered off a bit post-holiday. Weights are improving and quality is excellent.

This Week’s Highlights – November 30, 2020

  • Roma Tomatoes – Supply out of Florida has improved drastically over the past few days. Expect stable markets over the next several weeks.
  • Avocados – Good supply in the pipeline for remainder of the year.
  • Red Leaf Lettuce – Supply and quality are good.
  • Romaine and Romaine Hearts – Relatively short in supply; weights are light, quality is excellent.
  • Bok Choy – Supply is expected to be plentiful for the next three weeks. Quality is good.
