Cucumbers – Florida continues to ramp up production and Mexico continues to see good numbers and quality.
Italian Squash – Supply and quality continues to improve out of South Florida; quality and supply is good in the west.
Raspberries – Uptick in volume this week; good quality and flavor overall. Expect volume to gradually decrease each week as we approach year-end.
Romaine & Romaine Hearts – supply in the desert is better this week than expected. Demand has tapered off a bit post-holiday. Weights are improving and quality is excellent.
Red Bell Pepper – Market is steady and supply is good.
Iceberg Lettuce – Supply is poor due to drastic crop losses caused by two heat waves in the last month. Quality is poor and shelf life is not at its best. The market is extremely high.
Romaine & Romaine Hearts – Supply will remain tight. Reduced supply and elevated markets are expected.
Spring Mix – Better supply and quality is improving.
Romaine & Romaine Hearts – Production supply remains below normal budget volumes. Expect reduced supply to continue with potential for reduced fill rates.
Cantaloupe – Higher pricing anticipated as we approach Labor Day weekend. Brix levels remain in the 12-14% range.
Cauliflower – Expecting excellent volume all week.
Kale – (green) Bunched kale supply is expected to be plentiful for the next few weeks.
