  • Pineapple – Excellent quality peaking on 7 and 8 cts.
  • Grapefruit – Good supply and very good quality.
  • Romaine/Romaine Hearts – Overall, good quality and supply for the next few weeks.
  • Red and Yellow Bell Pepper – Excellent supply available and quality is good.
  • Avocados – The U.S. market has inventory in position for the upcoming Super Bowl!

This Week’s Highlights – December 7, 2020

  • Asparagus – Good supply and quality available.
  • Cucumbers – Florida continues to ramp up production and Mexico continues to see good numbers and quality.
  • Italian Squash – Supply and quality continues to improve out of South Florida; quality and supply is good in the west.
  • Raspberries – Uptick in volume this week; good quality and flavor overall. Expect volume to gradually decrease each week as we approach year-end.
  • Romaine & Romaine Hearts – supply in the desert is better this week than expected. Demand has tapered off a bit post-holiday. Weights are improving and quality is excellent.

This Week’s Highlights – September 28, 2020

  • Red Bell Pepper – Market is steady and supply is good.
  • Iceberg Lettuce – Supply is poor due to drastic crop losses caused by two heat waves in the last month. Quality is poor and shelf life is not at its best. The market is extremely high.
  • Romaine & Romaine Hearts – Supply will remain tight. Reduced supply and elevated markets are expected.
  • Spring Mix – Better supply and quality is improving.
  • Arugula – Supply and quality are good.

This Week’s Highlights – September 14, 2020

  • Romain & Romaine Hearts – Both remain below normal budget volumes.
  • Cucumbers – FOB prices are up again this week, volumes are short.
  • Asparagus – Good volume and quality, market slight lower. Anticipate steady demand, with no substantial changes until December.
  • Red Cabbage – Supply is plentiful with great quality.
  • Peaches – Good supply and quality available out of California, New Jersey and Washington.

This Week’s Highlights – August 31, 2020

  • Lemons – Good quality and supply available.
  • Romaine & Romaine Hearts – Production supply remains below normal budget volumes. Expect reduced supply to continue with potential for reduced fill rates.
  • Cantaloupe – Higher pricing anticipated as we approach Labor Day weekend. Brix levels remain in the 12-14% range.
  • Cauliflower – Expecting excellent volume all week.
  • Kale – (green) Bunched kale supply is expected to be plentiful for the next few weeks.
