This Week’s Highlights – April 13, 2023

  • Raspberries – Volumes will continue to increase steadily until early May. Overall fruit quality and size is very good.
  • Grapefruit – Good supply and very good quality out of Texas and California.
  • Iceberg Lettuce – Market has seen a significant increase in pricing. Rain and cool weather in northern California over the past 4 to 6 weeks has affected available supplies.
  • English Cucumbers – Good supply available with excellent quality.
  • Cantaloupe – Strong cantaloupe supply this week. Overall quality remains strong with brix levels at 13-16%.
  • Asparagus – Market is very active, especially on large and jumbo sizes. Expect higher markets for the next two to three weeks as growing regions ramp up.

This Week’s Highlights – February 20, 2023

  • Pineapple – Excellent quality.
  • Raspberries – Volume will continue to increase steadily until early May. Overall fruit quality and size is very good.
  • Lemons – Good supply and very good quality.
  • Roma Tomatoes – Lighter supply and higher pricing out of Mexico; this will continue over the next 10 days. Quality is outstanding.
  • Spring Mix – Quality and supplies are very good.

This Week’s Highlights – December 7, 2020

  • Asparagus – Good supply and quality available.
  • Cucumbers – Florida continues to ramp up production and Mexico continues to see good numbers and quality.
  • Italian Squash – Supply and quality continues to improve out of South Florida; quality and supply is good in the west.
  • Raspberries – Uptick in volume this week; good quality and flavor overall. Expect volume to gradually decrease each week as we approach year-end.
  • Romaine & Romaine Hearts – supply in the desert is better this week than expected. Demand has tapered off a bit post-holiday. Weights are improving and quality is excellent.

This Week’s Highlights – August 12, 2019

  • Blueberries, Blackberries and Raspberries – Expect low volumes for the next few weeks as well as some quality issues.
  • Romaine – Supply is good, but there are many quality issues…fringe, wind burn and light twist.
  • Eggplant – Production continues to ramp up…quality is outstanding, volume is good.
  • Arugula – Supply and quality are good.
  • Broccoli/Broccoli Florets – Demand is very good and the market is improving.
