This Week’s Highlights – September 7, 2020

  • Celery – Good quality and good supply for the next 2 to 3 weeks.
  • Grapes – Red grape pricing is up slightly, with green pricing remaining steady.
  • Asparagus – Good volume and quality, market slightly higher. Expect steady demand until December.
  • Cauliflower – Currently there is good supply, but expect tight supply soon. Quality is good.
  • Napa Cabbage – Supply is expected to be plentiful this week.

This Week’s Highlights – August 17, 2020

  • Romaine & Romaine Hearts – Expect reduced supply for at least the next few weeks.
  • Asparagus – Volume from Peru is steady, good quality.
  • Napa Cabbage – Supply is expected to be plentiful this week.
  • Apples – There is a tight supply on Granny Smith for food-service and will remain tight due to a shift in sizes.  Quality is very nice across all varieties.
  • Cherries – New crop our of California available.

This Week’s Highlights – January 6, 2020

  • Snow and Snap Peas – packed with great vitamins and nutrients; a good supply and quality to start the new year.
  • Avocados – mainly small-sized fruits (60’s and smaller). Sizes will shift in late January and trend heavier on larger fruit (48’s and larger).
  • Arugula – supply and quality are good.
  • Fennel – sizing is on the small side; quality is strong overall.
  • Napa Cabbage – supply and quality are good.

This Week’s Highlights – August 26, 2019

  • Cauliflower – Supply is plentiful and quality is good.
  • Strawberries – Volume continues to be hit and miss due to ongoing issues that stem from the extreme heat earlier in the season. Strawberry volume is not expected to increase until sometime after Labor Day.
  • Romaine – Demand continues to strengthen. Quality is fair to good.
  • Zucchini – Prices are down, supply continues to improve week after week. Quality is good.
  • Napa Cabbage – Supply is steady. Quality is fair.
