This Week’s Highlights – November 14, 2022

  • Blueberries – Production is ramping up quickly as the season starts. The fruit quality is excellent, and the berry size is large.
  • Limes – Market is expected to remain stable throughout November, however, inconsistent supply is expected this Holiday Season.
  • Lettuce – EXTREME – A series of challenges due to extreme weather, INSV virus and heavy disease are resulting in lower yields, short supply and poor quality. Markets will continue to be higher.
  • Green Beans – EXTREME – Limited supply, expected to be snug through the Thanksgiving Holiday.
  • Brussels Sprouts – Quality is generally good. Pre-booking for holiday business is strongly recommended.
  • Tomato on the Vine – Excellent quality and supply available.

This Week’s Highlights – April 26, 2021

  • Rhubarb – New crop rhubarb now available out of the Pacific Northwest.
  • Blueberries – Florida blueberries are expected to see good volume and quality in late April.
  • Limes – Availability continues to struggle as we approach May. Consider shifting to the 200-230ct during this shortage and scaling back portions and garnishments. Substitute lemon when possible.
  • French Beans – Good volume and light demand has increased downward pressure on pricing…quality is excellent.
  • Artichokes – Quality is excellent. Expect good volume to continue on large sizes through the end of April.
