- Blueberries – Production is ramping up quickly as the season starts. The fruit quality is excellent, and the berry size is large.
- Limes – Market is expected to remain stable throughout November, however, inconsistent supply is expected this Holiday Season.
- Lettuce – EXTREME – A series of challenges due to extreme weather, INSV virus and heavy disease are resulting in lower yields, short supply and poor quality. Markets will continue to be higher.
- Green Beans – EXTREME – Limited supply, expected to be snug through the Thanksgiving Holiday.
- Brussels Sprouts – Quality is generally good. Pre-booking for holiday business is strongly recommended.
- Tomato on the Vine – Excellent quality and supply available.
- Green Beans – Good supply available this week out of South Florida as well as Nogales.
- Green Bell Pepper – Great supply out of Florida, as well as Mexico. Quality is outstanding.
- Eggplant – Excellent supply, quality is very nice.
- Zucchini/Yellow Squash – Excellent supply, quality is outstanding.
- Bok Choy – Volume is expected to be plentiful for the next two weeks.
- Cauliflower – Supply will be light for the next 2 weeks.
- English Cucumber – Supply is ramping up; quality is very nice.
- Green Beans – Quality is marginal; supply is very light.
- Red Leaf Lettuce – Supply and quality are very good.
- Tomatoes – Roma & Round – Supply out of Florida will be limited over the next several weeks due to Tropical Storm Eta.
- Avocados – Continued good volume, without traditional slowdown this time of year.
- Green Leaf Lettuce – Supply is very tight. Quality overall is nice.
- Green Beans – Markets have eased up. Quality is improving daily.
- Broccoli/Broccoli Florets – Expecting a moderate gap in supply over the next 1-2 weeks. Look for higher prices.
- Cauliflower – Supply is expected to be plentiful and quality is good.
- Cranberries – After the classic cranberry sauce is made to serve with your turkey, expand your use of the seasonal berry…puree 1/4 cup classic cranberries, then add 1/2 cup softened butter and a pinch of sea salt. Spread on bagels, bread or scones. Enjoy!
- Navels/Valencias – These oranges are an excellent size, peaking on 72/56s. High solids-to-acid ratio.
- Asparagus – Volume is steady, quality is good.
- Cabbage (green) – There is heavy supply this week. Quality is good.
- Items on the Extreme List to be aware of: all berries, garlic, green beans, melons and potatoes. Keep an on your costs and quality of shipments.
