French Beans – Good volume, pricing is down. Quality is excellent.
Garlic – The domestic market remains high. Good quality.
Red Delicious Apples – good supply and quality is very nice across all varieties.
Lemons – good supply of all sizes; the quality is excellent and the fruit is beautiful.
Eggplant – availability is steady in all markets and supplies are readily available.
Broccoli/ Broccoli Florets – supply is steady; quality is good.
Garlic – EXTREME – domestic yields are down drastically, prices are increasing and quality is average. Chinese garlic is becoming very short in supply and it is expensive.
Cranberries – After the classic cranberry sauce is made to serve with your turkey, expand your use of the seasonal berry…puree 1/4 cup classic cranberries, then add 1/2 cup softened butter and a pinch of sea salt. Spread on bagels, bread or scones. Enjoy!
Navels/Valencias – These oranges are an excellent size, peaking on 72/56s. High solids-to-acid ratio.
Asparagus – Volume is steady, quality is good.
Cabbage (green) – There is heavy supply this week. Quality is good.
