This Week’s Highlights – September 5th, 2022

  • Peaches – Good volume available on white and yellow flesh variety peaches.
  • Romaine, Romaine Hearts, Green Leaf and Red Leaf Lettuce – Supplies are challenged. The heatwave impact may affect quality and supply.
  • Arugula – Supply and quality are good.
  • French Beans – Production and quality remain good. A good alternative the green beans where quality is hit and miss as well as higher prices.
  • Broccoli and Cauliflower – Current supply is good; anticipating lighter supplies in the upcoming weeks. Look for price increases.

This Week’s Highlights – July 12, 2021

  • Red Leaf Lettuce – Good volume with good quality and the market is steady.
  • Iceberg Lettuce – Supply continues to be slightly lower than normal. Quality is very good.
  • French Beans – Good volume. Prices are pushing higher this week and quality is excellent.
  • Zucchini/Yellow Squash – Strong production out of south Georgia and quality is excellent. Supply from the west is on target, quality is outstanding.
  • Bok Choy – Supplies are expected to be plentiful for the next three weeks.

This Week’s Highlights – May 24. 2021

  • Pineapple – Volumes have finally started to increase. Quality is good and supply will be good for the foreseeable future.
  • Green Leaf Lettuce – Salinas green leaf volumes are above expectation, overall quality is great.
  • French Beans – Good volume; prices are pushing higher this week and quality is excellent.
  • Zucchini/Yellow Squash – Quality is outstanding.
  • Artichokes – Quality is excellent; prices are low and steady.
  • Broccoli/Broccoli Florets – Good supply and excellent quality.

This Week’s Highlights – April 26, 2021

  • Rhubarb – New crop rhubarb now available out of the Pacific Northwest.
  • Blueberries – Florida blueberries are expected to see good volume and quality in late April.
  • Limes – Availability continues to struggle as we approach May. Consider shifting to the 200-230ct during this shortage and scaling back portions and garnishments. Substitute lemon when possible.
  • French Beans – Good volume and light demand has increased downward pressure on pricing…quality is excellent.
  • Artichokes – Quality is excellent. Expect good volume to continue on large sizes through the end of April.

This Week’s Highlights – March 29, 2021

  • Yellow Squash – Good volume available.
  • Zucchini – Outstanding quality.
  • Honeydew – Sizing is peaking on larger melons; brix levels are in the 12-14% range.
  • Navel Oranges – Quality is great. Peaking on 72/88.
  • French Beans – Good volume and light demand has increased downward pressure on pricing this week. Quality is excellent.
  • Cauliflower – Better supply is expected next week as we head into transition. Quality is good and the market is slightly lower.
