This Week’s Highlights – February 3, 2023

Pineapple – Excellent quality peaking on 7 and 8 cts.
Grapefruit – Good supply and very good quality.
Romaine/Romaine Hearts – Overall, good quality and supply for the next few weeks.
Red and Yellow Bell Pepper – Excellent supply available and quality is good.
Avocados – The U.S. market has inventory in position for the upcoming Super Bowl!

Eggplant – Supply is lighter this week out of Florida due to cooler weather. Excellent supply crossing through Nogales and quality is very nice.
Avocados – Market pricing continues to rise. Overall quality is outstanding.
Zucchini/Yellow Squash – Tighter supply this week due to cooler weather. Quality is outstanding on zucchini and fair on yellow squash.
Cantaloupe – A significant shift in sizing has been realized over the past week as jumbo fruit has all but disappeared. Good availability on 9/12/15’s. Quality continues to be very good. Average brix levels are now ranging from 11-14%.
Cauliflower – Supply is expected to be lighter than normal for the next two weeks.
Napa Cabbage – Volume is expected to be plentiful for the next two weeks.

Red Bell Pepper – Excellent supply and quality is outstanding.
Avocados – Volume is now surging, making for outstanding eating quality, but greatly reduces shelf life.
Zucchini/Yellow Squash – Strong production is now underway. Quality is outstanding.
Artichokes – Quality is excellent; expect good volume to continue on large sizes. Prices are low and steady.
Bok Choy – Supplies are expected to be plentiful for the next three weeks.
Roma Tomatoes – Quality and supply are expected to be marginal until July.

Roma Tomatoes – Supply out of Florida has improved drastically over the past few days. Expect stable markets over the next several weeks.
Avocados – Good supply in the pipeline for remainder of the year.
Red Leaf Lettuce – Supply and quality are good.
Romaine and Romaine Hearts – Relatively short in supply; weights are light, quality is excellent.
Bok Choy – Supply is expected to be plentiful for the next three weeks. Quality is good.

Avocados – Continued good volume, without traditional slowdown this time of year.
Green Leaf Lettuce – Supply is very tight. Quality overall is nice.
Green Beans – Markets have eased up. Quality is improving daily.
Broccoli/Broccoli Florets – Expecting a moderate gap in supply over the next 1-2 weeks. Look for higher prices.
Cauliflower – Supply is expected to be plentiful and quality is good.
