  • Iceberg Lettuce – The market continues to be active due to lighter weights and lower yields.
  • Eggplant – Supplies in the west are ramping up. Quality is outstanding.
  • Asparagus – Supply and quality are very good, and pricing continues to trend steady.
  • Bok Choy – Volume is expected to be plentiful for the next two weeks.

This Week’s Highlights – November 1, 2021

  • Asparagus – Supply is increasing, quality is good, and the market is lower.
  • Red Leaf Lettuce – Good volume with good quality and the market is steady.
  • Romaine & Romaine Hearts – Production supply is beginning to trend lower. Plants that are healthy are exhibiting good color, texture, and quality overall.
  • Brussels Sprouts – Quality is good with minor defects, good shape and color.  Start to plan for Thanksgiving needs.
  • Kale (Green) – Bunched kale supple is expected to be plentiful for the next few weeks.

This Week’s Highlights – July 26, 2021

  • Zucchini & Yellow Squash – Strong production and excellent quality.
  • Asparagus – Market is steady, good quality.
  • Rapini – Good supply, quality is strong overall.
  • Baby Spinach – Supply and quality are good.
  • Potatoes – Expect a gap between the old product and the new harvest through August; watch for increased pricing through this time and into the fall.

This Week’s Highlights – February 22, 2021

  • Brussels Sprouts – Good supply and very good quality.
  • Asparagus – Good supply and very good quality.
  • Strawberries – Supplies are lighter; watch the pricing and consider switching to an alternative.
  • Zucchini and Yellow Squash – Good volume. Quality is outstanding.
  • Bok Choy – Supply is expected to be plentiful for the next three weeks. Quality is good.

This Week’s Highlights – December 7, 2020

  • Asparagus – Good supply and quality available.
  • Cucumbers – Florida continues to ramp up production and Mexico continues to see good numbers and quality.
  • Italian Squash – Supply and quality continues to improve out of South Florida; quality and supply is good in the west.
  • Raspberries – Uptick in volume this week; good quality and flavor overall. Expect volume to gradually decrease each week as we approach year-end.
  • Romaine & Romaine Hearts – supply in the desert is better this week than expected. Demand has tapered off a bit post-holiday. Weights are improving and quality is excellent.
